WordPress Plugin

We developed our eCommerce solution for WordPress using only one free open-source plugin that connects to our hosted platform. The Prodigy plugin was built using WordPress conventions and standards and allows for complete storefront design flexibility.
Secure

With only one professionally-engineered plugin, security is greatly increased. WooCommerce requires endless expensive add-ons that create points-of-vulnerability.

High-performance

Since all store data is on our platform, our plugin simply acts as a bridge to the WordPress frontend. API requests are served quickly and products appear instantaneously.

Complete design flexibility

You can override templates and add custom CSS to create unique designs. Our base templates work well with popular themes. If you prefer a page builder, we’ve integrated Elementor Pro.

Built the WordPress Way

While all your product and store data resides on Prodigy’s hosted platform, the plugin was developed using WordPress conventions, making developers more comfortable with the interface. Products are represented as a Custom Post Types and Categories are represented as WordPress Taxonomies.

High-performance

Our PHP engineers developed our plugin so that it can handle enormous spikes in traffic. Our Ruby on Rails engineers developed our AWS-hosted platform for performance. This powerful combination reduces latency and provides lightning fast synchronization between the frontend and backend.

Elementor Pro Integration

The Prodigy plugin provides a complete Elementor Pro page builder integration, which includes 24 widgets and hundreds of controls. The integration has theme builder templates for the product archive, single product, cart, and order confirmation pages. You can also add featured product or category widgets to any page.

Templates

The Prodigy plugin has a complete set of templates that are used to display the product archive, single product, and cart pages as well as the output of shortcodes and widgets. All templates can be overridden and edited by copying them to a child theme directory. Our base templates work nicely with a wide range of popular themes.

Shortcodes

Use our 11 shortcodes to add featured product or category sections to any page, or to add a cart dropdown to your header. There are also shortcodes to insert search bars, filters, and category navigation to the sidebar of a product archive page.

Widgets

There are 7 classic WordPress widgets included with Prodigy. Use them to define WordPress widget areas, such as the shop sidebar widget area, which is offered in our product archive template. The widgets include product attribute filters, product price filters, product search, product category navigation, header carts, and customer accounts.
